Orangeries

Orangeries and garden rooms have really caught homeowners’ imagination in recent years and many homes now benefit from the addition of an orangery at the rear of the property. Paxtons has been constructing orangeries for many years and offer a full design and construction service.

Our experienced team of consultants and designers can guide you through the options if you are replacing windows and doors, remodelling your home or are interested in other home improvements offered by Paxtons. Use the link to arrange a telephone discussion.

APPOINTMENT

Paxtons orangeries

Combining the perfect balance of open ground floor living space (often including the kitchen to create a new open plan living area) with the lower costs attached to single storey construction, a Paxtons conservatory could deliver the extra space you need and add value to your home.

Design, plan drawing and planning application

Following an initial home visit, our designers will offer design ideas and costings to get the project on track. At this stage, size, specification and cost are all fluid so changes are easily made. When the approach has been agreed, our sister company, Purely Planning, can prepare scaled drawings and submit a planning application, if required.

Separate or integrate?

For many, the orangery will be accessed through an existing opening and offer a new space to be enjoyed separately. Others, view the orangery as one part of a bigger scheme to create an open plan space and improve the flow of the ground floor area. Our design team has worked on many different projects and will be able to talk you through the options.

Building style - modern or traditional

Decisions about the appearance of the new orangery should be made early on and will influence the selection of materials and construction methods used. Typically, a modern orangery will have smooth rendered walls, a roof lantern and a large opening on to the garden. Each of these things can change: brick or weatherboarding; flat rooflights or multiple skylights; bi-folding, French or sliding doors, for example.

Single supplier

Our full design, planning application and construction service means you only deal with one supplier throughout the whole process, while enjoying the freedom to choose from the complete range of windows, entrance doors, bi-folding, sliding and French doors offered by Paxtons. Not forgetting the all important roof lantern, the defining feature of any Paxtons orangery!

Purely Planning

Purely Planning works exclusively for Paxtons Home Improvements preparing plans, planning applications, permitted development submissions and change of window type applications for improvements carried out by the company.
